New directions for Little Otsu

PORTLAND STORE UPDATE (Feb 2024)

It’s hard to believe we celebrated our 21st year in business this past October, with the last 9 of those years at our current store in Portland. And after all that time and making it through the past few pandemic years as a solely 2-person operation, we are now ready to take our lives in some new directions by moving our store entirely online (here!) starting in March. We are looking forward to having more time for travels and exploration to discover new products for the online shop and work on other exciting projects.

We have loved being shopkeepers in our very own neighborhood and value all the people we have been able to meet and serve from our little spot on Division Street, but it is time for us to take a break from the physical storefront and—we are excited to say—let our friends at Secret Room Press take over our space! We couldn’t be more thrilled that our former employee and brand/planner designer Cielle & her husband John James will be bringing their risograph and comics-inspired fun to the storefront space we built and nurtured these past 9 years. And we will still be in that same space in spirit at least, as Secret Room will be serving as a pick-up spot for our Little Otsu online orders, allowing Portland folks (& visitors!) to be able to continue to get the products they love from us online and pick them up for free in our old location. Just choose pick-up as your shipping option when you place your order!

Our final day open at the shop will be Saturday, March 2nd (this will be the last day for any in-person returns). After that, there will be a pause in pick-ups until Secret Room is up and running on March 15th, but our online shop will remain open as we move operations. And just in case you have a gift card and can’t make it in, please rest assured that all gift cards are still usable right here in our online shop.
